The series is based on fictional ‘discovered historical papers’ relating to Harry Flashman, the bully from Thomas Hughes’ novel ‘Tom Brown’s School Days’. Like with many of the books in the Flashman series, Fraser includes fictional accounts of historical figures, with this novel featuring the writer of ‘Battle Hymn of the Republic’, Julia Ward Howe.
In the original cloth binding in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally in lovely condition. Dust wrapper is in excellent condition with sunning to spine, as is common with this series. Slight shelf wear to extremities. Internally firmly bound. Page bright and clean. The odd light handling mark to top edge.
