Collins, London

The first edition of the final novel to be published in Christie’s lifetime, bringing together Hercule Poirot and Arthur Hastings for their final case.

The first edition, first impression with no further impressions stated.

In the original unclipped dust wrapper.

Written by the Queen of Detective Fiction, Agatha Christie. The novel was written during the Blitz 'in anticipation of being killed in the raids'. Luckily this did not happen, with 'Curtain' instead published a few months before Christie’s death in 1975. The other work written during this time, ‘Sleeping Murder’, was published shortly after Christie died.

In the original cloth binding in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally generally smart with shelf wear to extremities. Marks to the boards and slightly cocked. Prior owner’s inscription to front free endpaper. Dust wrapper is sound with creasing and the occasional closed tear and chip to extremities. Slight rubbing to wrap resulting in slight lifting to black. Marks to wrap. Internally firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean with scattered spotting and handling marks to fore edge.

Grading: VERY GOOD in a GOOD dust wrapper.
