Based on the Troubles in Northern Ireland, this is an excellent first edition of ‘North’ by Nobel Prize winning poet, Seamus Heaney.

The collection is split into two thematically different halves, with the first using Greek and Viking mythology to draw comparison to the violence, and the second a more direct reflection on the Troubles.

In the original pictorial wraps. Externally in excellent condition with sunning to the spine, as is common with this work. Minor creasing to the extremities. Internally firmly bound. Pages bright and clean.
