An early example of Ralph Steadman’s illustrated work.

The first edition, first impression with no further impressions stated.

In the original unclipped dust wrapper. In publisher’s yellow boards. A green variant was also issued, no priority given.

Steadman illustrated many classic titles, including 'Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland', Orwell’s 'Nineteen Eighty-Four' and is perhaps best known for his longtime collaborative relationship with Hunter S. Thompson. 'The Yellow Flowers' is an early example of his work and tells the story of a group of children living in an industrial area of London.

In the original cloth binding in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally in excellent condition with just minor bumping to the extremities. Dust wrapper is very smart with spotting and handling marks to the wrap. Lifting to publisher’s laminate to head of wrap. Slight sunning to wrap. Internally firmly bound. Pages bright and clean.

Grading: FINE in a VERY GOOD INDEED dust wrapper.
