1931
viii, 312pp.
The Crime Club by Collins, London.

An early impression of Christie's breakout work, widely considered one of the greatest novels in the Crime Fiction genre.

The first edition, fourth impression. First published in March 1926.

In the publisher’s original black cloth with red border. Lacking the vanishingly scarce dust wrapper.

One of Christie’s most celebrated novels, and the third to feature the Belgian protagonist Hercule Poirot. Her first bestseller, 'The Murder of Roger Ackroyd' redefined the detective genre, and began Christie’s rise to become the Queen of Detective Fiction.

An early example of this genre-defining work.

In the publisher’s original cloth binding. Externally sound with rubbing to the extremities resulting in slight loss to the cloth. Marks to the boards. Slightly cocked. Front hinge slightly strained but firm. Internally firmly bound. Pages generally clean with scattered spotting and age toning due to paper used.

Grading: GOOD.
