The first edition in book form, also being one of the three hundred copies with an additional limitation leaf, signed by the author. This copy is number one hundred and eighty-six, signed and dedicated to one ‘Robert Francis Sheehan’.

Written by Eric Temple Bell, under the pseudonym, John Taine. Bell was a mathematician and science fiction writer, with this fiction novel centred around the concept of the creation of a ‘Superman’ using radiation. The story first appeared in ‘Amazing Stories Quarterly’ in 1931.
In the original cloth binding in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally very smart. The odd mark to the boards, slightly heavier to rear board. Small prior owner’s book label to front free endpaper. Dust wrapper is smart with handling marks to the wrap. Chipping and the occasional closed tear to the extremities. Internally firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Slight spotting to the fore edge. Signed and dedicated by the author to limitation leaf.
