Chatto & Windus; The Hogarth Press, London

A lovely first edition of this work of magical realism, in the original sought-after dust wrapper.

The first edition, first impression with no further impressions stated.

In the original unclipped decorative dust wrapper.

A very smart copy of this work of postmodernism and magical realism. The novel’s protagonist claims to be a cockney virgin, hatched from an egg and now working as a celebrated aerialist.

Angela Carter is perhaps best known for The Bloody Chamber, with feminist themes present across her body of work.

In the original cloth binding in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally in excellent condition. Dust wrapper is in excellent condition with minor shelf wear and slight sunning to spine, as is common with this work. The occasional mark to the wrap. Internally firmly bound. Age toning and the odd spot, heavier to the extremities, due to paper use.

Grading: VERY GOOD INDEED in a NEAR FINE dust wrapper.
