1986 It by Stephen King
1986
912pp.
Hodder & Stoughton, London.
The first UK edition of this classic horror novel, in the original and rather disturbing pictorial dust wrapper.
The first UK edition, first impression, with no further impressions stated. First published in the US earlier the same year by The Viking Press.
In the original unclipped dust wrapper, priced at £12.95.
Whilst ‘It’ is King’s 22nd novel, the work has a permanent place in public zeitgeist; indeed, the character Pennywise has been named by several outlets as one of the scariest clowns in film or pop culture.
In the original cloth binding in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally in excellent condition with slight bumping to the extremities and the odd mark to the boards. Dust wrapper is very smart with slight shelf wear and creasing to extremities and the odd handling mark. Internally firmly bound. Pages age toned, as is common with this work. The odd spot to fore edge.
Grading: VERY GOOD INDEED in a NEAR FINE dust wrapper.
