The very scarce first English edition of this charming story, illustrated by noted artist Ralph Steadman.

The first English edition, first impression. Translated and adapted from the German by Ruth Cornish-Bowden and Paul Langridge.

A charming story telling the tale of a town overrun by mice, and the two dogs who help fix the issue, despite their differences.

In the publisher’s original pictorial boards. Externally very small with slight bumping to extremities. Minor sunning to spine. The odd light mark to the boards. Internally firmly bound. Pages bright and clean.

Grading: VERY GOOD INDEED.
