Lacking the scarce original dust wrapper. 

The sixth novel to feature Sayers’ fictional gentleman detective Lord Peter Wimsey, ‘Suspicious Characters’ follows Wimsey as he attempts to solve the murder of a Scottish painter.

In the original cloth binding. Externally generally smart with bumping to extremities resulting in slight splitting to the cloth at the head and tail of the spine. Marks to the boards. Prior owner’s ink inscription to front free endpaper. Internally firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean with marginal age toning and the odd spot. Blue top edge has bled slightly to head of leaves, not impacting the text.

Grading: VERY GOOD.
